Miele is a German company that has been producing home appliances since 1899. They began manufacturing their first vacuum cleaner in 1927. And though it is still has German roots, Miele finds itself most popular in the United States, and is currently based in Somerset, New Jersey. This popularity is due to the company philosophy of "Forever Better" resulting in Miele's excellent reputation for quality, reliability, durability and performance.

Offering only canister vacuums and mini-uprights, Miele vacuum cleaners are built to remove dust, dirt and debris from the carpet with a focus on keeping it out and giving the owner healthier air to breathe. Many allergy and asthma sufferers claim that they suffer less thanks to their Miele. Miele vacuums uses one of three filtrations systems: the Super Air Clean Filter for regular cleanings, the Active Air Clean Filter with active charcoal pellets for absorbing odors, or the Active HEPA Filter for those with allergies. The HEPA filter is certified to remove 99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. Miele vacuums also use a 1200-watt motor and sealed system to provide the maximum suction possible, so the dirt won't recirculate into the air, resulting in cleaner breathing. The company's commitment to helping relieve health related concerns is what drives them to find better and more effective ways to clean floors. Miele is also committed to finding better ways to get floors cleaner and offer adjustable suction on many models to clean delicate hardwood floors.

Additional features include durable plastic housing - the same kind of plastic used to make football helmets, tool caddy, and rubber bumpers - to protect furniture in case it is bumped accidentally.
